Can you please make more videos for people starting college?! aa July 10, 2017 Things I wish I could tell pre-college me: 1. Don't be so judgmental of entire groups, especially if that judgment is a result of stereotypes.2. Don't condemn people because of their political beliefs. Yes, some people believe in things that they definitely wouldn't if they didn't live such blessed lives. But at the end of the day, that's not grounds for you to judge them. 3. God wants to help you. You will have prayers answered in ways that you could never imagine. When you humble yourself and ask for help, you WILL get it. 4. The Spirit speaks truth. Learn to recognize it.5. God will give you what you NEED. EVERY TIME. He knows you perfectly. 6. It's okay to be alone. Even if you're alone a lot. What's not okay is spending that time doing self-destructive things. 7. Walking outside and sunshine are good for you.8. You are capable of more than you know. So when you learn of something you are capable of that you didn't already know, another door opens. And you are capable of more. And more. And more.9. Some friends will be distant while you're gone but what matters is who you can pick it back up with as easily as if no time had passed at all.10. Friends who bring you down/ encourage you to bring others down/bring down the beauty and sanctity of life are not friends at all. 11. You don't have to be friends with your roommates but you do have to be friendly with your roommates. Nothing is worse than being afraid to go home. So make sure that even if you're stuck with people you don't hit it off with or don't like that you are always polite and considerate.12. Let yourself fall in love even if you know you might get hurt. It is better to have loved and lost (and loved and lost and loved and lost and loved and lost and..) than to have never loved at all.13. You are going to gain so much courage. It comes slowly. But it will come. 14. Food is expensive. Don't eat out every meal! Even though it's convenient, it adds up fast and you won't feel good in the end.15. Breakfast is so important. So is sleep. And water. 16. Be the bigger person. No matter how angry or heartbroken or sad you are, revenge is never going to solve any problem. If you are kind to the people who have wronged you, they will never forget that. 17. Love is not deserved. Neither is forgiveness. Give and take both of them as much as you are offered, no questions asked.
