When you answer for their Doctor's office, it is instantly a signal to be twice as rude, twice as cruel and 100 times as condescending. "If you are out of your F*&$ing pain pills, you should have called earlier. No your Doctor is not in his office at 10:00 at night." Monserrat Guardado February 20, 2018 My confessionis that you start noticing who are the rudest people when they call customer care and you start judging people from a certain area even before the call begins Shelby Chanel February 20, 2018 Working at a market research (surveys) call center was the most draining job I've ever had, I still remember a lady from Ghirardelli made me cry, now I refuse to buy their chocolate. 🙂 Akshaya February 20, 2018 This is totally irrelevant but what happened to the Wine Mom series? RapidVlo February 20, 2018 But how can there be secrets in a call center if theres only 7 million people in the world anyjen February 20, 2018 Muting a customer to curse at them is extremely prevalent. Su much so, I actually learned my best swear words from listening to coworkers vent in the middle of a call. You would be amazed how quickly we can switch from sugary sweet politeness to the nastiest vitriol and then back. Seriously, even the most patient people need to do it sometimes. Spending 40 minutes explaining to a ninety-year-old customer how to find our webpage and enter their password when the average call time needs to remain under five minutes will do that to you. Guillaume Decotte February 20, 2018 If you give the wrong information to your customers and if you put them on hold hoping they will hang up, you're a terrible agent. I work for a call centre and you would be fired. This type of job is not for everyone. Vincent Chandra February 20, 2018 what is the music background title name? CatherineZ February 20, 2018 It's call center employees and telemarketers who are paid to be polite, not respondents. So a respondent only needs to be nice when they want something from a call-center. When telemarketers call me trying to sell me stuff I never asked for, I reserve the right to be as nasty, as I want to be because that's a type of spam. If you don't want to be cursed at as much, get a job which does not include annoying people by definition.
